DETECTIVES were called in after the body of a man was discovered in a Bolton bedsit.
The 26-year-old man was found in a collapsed condition yesterday in the upstairs flat in Clarke Street, on the outskirts of Bolton town centre. He was dead on arrival at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
The flat was sealed off as forensic experts combed the flat and a Home Office pathologist was at the scene.
Neighbours say the dead man had been living at the flat with a friend for the last two months.
A post mortem examination was carried out last night. Detectives are awaiting the results of more tests, but a police spokesman said there was nothing to indicate the man's death was suspicious.
The death has been reported to the Coroner.
