Adlington Rangers A 40 Parkside Golborne A 12 PERFECT conditions allowed good open rugby in this Saturday encounter. Rangers started off slowly but good all-round defensive work kept the early Parkside attacks out.

Barker and Cookson showed up well with Parker creating lots of moves from half-back. Parkside finally broke down and a good try was scored by Royal wide out, but the kick failed.

Parkside came back and charged over from close in and the goal was kicked for them to take the lead. This was short-lived as Rangers scored a penalty kick through Graham to level matters.

Before the break Parkside kicked a long range penalty and Dootson scored a converted try as Rangers led 12-8 at the break.

In the second half Rangers really opened up and some good passing led to further tries by Dootson, Rogers, Brooks and Verhaege. The Parkside team kept toiling away and got a consolation try, but Rangers went over again with a classic score.

A towering kick by Graham struck the posts and bounced back to the onrushing Rangers. Dootson gathered, passed out to Verhaege and he rushed through a gap for his try.
