LOCAL schools and colleges are represented in a major business presentation and communications skills competition on Friday.
Young people aged between 16 and 19 will gather at the Vertex Training Centre in Chorley for the North-west area final of the Understanding Industry Presentation Skills Challenge.
It is sponsored by EMTEC, NORWEB's customer technology centre, which is donating the winning trophy.
The finalists include teams from Bolton Catholic Sixth Form College, Bolton School Boys' Division, Bolton School Girls' Division, Bury Girls' Grammar School, Holy Cross College, Bury, Rivington and Blackrod High School and South College, Bolton.
Teams of four students will make group presentations on subjects such as management, marketing, personnel, finance and production.
The winning team will go forward to the national final in London in June to compete for the top prize of a long weekend in the US.
