A REWARD is being offered following the theft of £30,000 worth of crystal collectors' items from Tottington.

The haul of 30 Swarovski pieces, mainly in the shape of small animals and birds, were taken from glass display cases during a house burglary between April 8 and 11.

The collection had been built up over 10 years and some individual pieces were worth as much as £2,000 each.

Police, who have not revealed the exact address of the house, believe the stolen property may now be in the Bolton area.

Detective Constable Mike Balfe of Bury Police said: "The pieces are quite unique, specialist items. We would urge anyone with information to their whereabouts to contact us. They may qualify for a cash reward."

Anyone with information should call Bury Crime Management Unit on 0161 857 8157. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Calls are free and confidential and you many qualify for a Crimestoppers Trust Reward. 1
