BOLTON youngsters are being urged to vote for their favourite book - with a £30 prize at stake.
The "election" revolves around World Book Day on Thursday and is a joint activity between Bolton libraries and local bookshops.
A chart of the books that Bolton youngsters like best will be the result.
Every child under 16 can vote in ballot boxes which go out on Thursday and remain in place for voting until May 16.
The boxes are at: Bolton Central Library and libraries at Farnworth, Hayward, Little Lever and Westhoughton, at Alison's bookshop in St Andrew's Court, WH Smith in Victoria Square and, on Deansgate, at Cooking the Books and Sweetens Bookshop.
All the votes will be entered in a free draw to win £30 worth of books from Sweetens by publishers Scholastic, which produce best-selling Goosebumps and Point Horror series.
