POLICE are investigating a burglary at the The Plough in Rainsough Brow, Prestwich, during which two men posing as customers stole £600.

The men bought a round of drinks at 10.35pm last night and, while one played on the fruit machine, the other sneaked upstairs into the pub's living quarters and stole £600 from the safe.

Both men are aged between 30 and 35. The man who played on the fruit machine wore glasses and is described as half-cast, with a slim build, short hair and dark stubble.

His accomplice was white, with a medium build, shoulder length mousey brown hair, wearing a sweat shirt, jeans and brown Rockport boots.
