HUNDREDS of disappointed revellers had their night out cut short when a club was evacuated in the early hours on Sunday.
Staff quickly cleared people from Reuben's on Silk Street, Leigh, when the fire alarms started ringing at about 12.30am.
Hundreds of revellers who had flocked to the club to see the popular Gary Gutter and the Gutter Band perform hits from the glam rock era were left shivering outside.
Firemen searched the nightspot but could not find out why the alarms had gone off.
Eventually customers were allowed back into the building to collect coats and bags but the club was closed for safety reasons.
