BOLTON'S Mountain Rescue Team were in action at the weekend when a teenage mountain biker was hurt in an accident on Winter Hill.
Ben Powell, aged 15, from Formby, near Liverpool, was with three other bikers on Saturday afternoon when he came off his bike after hitting a drainage channel and suffering from a suspected broken collar bone and wrist.
His pals raised the alarm and ambulance crews arrived with the mountain rescue team.
The team got Ben to a Landrover which drove to the bottom of the hill and he was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital for treatment.
