A HONOLULU nightclub owner, concerned over sagging interest in topless and bottomless waitresses, is offering a new twist - nude waiters. 'It's really giving business a shot in the arm', says club owner Jack Clunes. He unveiled the new approach at a luncheon show, which drew a capacity audience of 350, more than half of them women. Nude waitresses, which the club has been featuring for months, worked along with the newly-hired waiters. 'We offer a little something for everyone', Clunes said.

BOLTON, speaking through its elected representatives in the Town Council, today rejected the scheme for a 'Greater Manchester' as outlined in the proposals for a new administrative county for Manchester and district, because, among other things, 'the proposals are not in the best interests of the inhabitants of the area'.
Ald J. Vickers, leader of the Council, said that these truths emerged in 'stark relief':
The scheme would not produce the homogeneous unit claimed for it;
There would not be real community of interest among its people;
It would set up a system of remote control;
It would not be in the best interests of the community which they served.

SIR,- Police! Police! where are the police? is the reverberating cry, and, as their numbers multiply and their strength grows, the cry seems to get more constant and louder. Less than 40 years gone past, the population counting then more than one half of the last census, Chief Constable Rawlinson, with a staff of some two or three 'runners', were responsible for the peace and good behaviour inside the borough, whereas in this present year of our Lord there are close on 100 belted 'blue bottles' all told, on the police roll, being within a fraction of 2,500 per cent of an increase between one period and the other.
I am, sir, Anti-Hypocrite.
