DEPUTY Prime Minister John Prescott will give his seal of approval to Wanderers' new Reebok Stadium on Saturday.
Mr Prescott, accompanied by Bolton North East MP David Crausby, will unveil a plaque to commemorate the official opening of the stadium.
He will then enjoy a lunch laid on by the directors of the club and attended by civic dignitaries before watching Wanderers' home match against Southampton.
He follows in the footsteps of former Prime Minister John Major, who laid the stadium's foundation stone during the election campaign in April.
Earlier on Saturday, Mr Prescott will lay his own foundation stone. At the invitation of Mr Crausby he will be at Tonge Ward Labour Club on Ainsworth Lane, Bolton, where work is underway on putting up a new building.
He will chat to Labour Party members before heading to the stadium.
