BOLTONIANS are being urged by Britain's biggest veterinary charity to hand over their unwanted Christmas gifts to raise money for the treatment of needy pets.
The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals, which raises funds for the treatment of over 1.4 million sick and injured pets each year, insists every donated item makes a real difference to pets in their care. It has a busy fundraising shop at Ridgeway Gates, off Knowsley Street, Bolton.
Simon Branscomb, PDSA National Retail Manager, said: "Our shops rely entirely on donated goods 365 days a year so please spare a thought as you make your New Year resolutions.
"After Christmas we can all end up with gifts that go straight into the back of a cupboard. This year donate them to the PDSA."
The PDSA welcomes donations of quality women's, gents' or children's clothing, books, toys, games, household items amd ornaments.
