THREE trainees at a Bolton firm of quantity surveyors are celebrating after completing their qualifications at Bolton College.
David Mayren, Alex Claire and John Birchall, who work for Deacon & Jones, had the cost of the National Certificate in Building Studies course met by College training Unit, who also awarded them £100 bonus payments for their achievements.
Deacon & Jones is one of Bolton's largest quantity surveying companies with offices in Bradshaw and Chorley Old Road as well as associated companies in Germany.
Current local projects include work on the Trafford Centre, the Warner Brothers complex in Horwich and the new leisure development in the Tonge Valley, Bolton.
Company partner David Clough said he was delighted with the success of the trainees, who are now continuing their studies towards degrees in quantity surveying.
"They have all worked extremely hard and achieved excellent results," he said.
"Deacon & Jones has a positive attitude to training at all levels and we have been impressed with Bolton College and the contribution of the Training Unit."
