AN MP is warning Bolton shoppers to watch out for dangerous toys.
Janet Anderson, backing a new government campaign, says parents should follow key rules when they are buying toys for children in the New Year sales.
Advice includes checking for sharp edges and parts which could be pulled out and swallowed.
Mrs Anderson, whose Rossendale and Darwen constituency includes North Turton, also says parents should only buy from reputable shops and heed labels on toys advising which age range they are suitable for.
"People are looking for bargains in the sales, but it is important to heed the message in the Government's new toy safety leaflet," she said.
Last year 36,000 children were injured in accidents involving toys.
