KATHERINE ROBERTS has found a new niche for herself in the world of pantomime - from chorus to principal boy to Dame.
She is now busily rehearsing her role as the Dame in St Joseph's Players' Puss in Boots, the third time she has taken on the task.
"It's such a lot of fun," said Katherine, who is also the Leigh company's chairman. "In the past the role has always gone to a man. But why should they have all the fun!"
Tickets for the show, which runs from January 27 to February 7, will soon be on sale at Boardman's Outfitters, Bradshawgate, Leigh.
But you'll have to be quick. There is always a rush with matinees and the popular Friday and Saturday evening shows going quickly.
