BOLTON West MP Ruth Kelly has hailed yesterday's launch of Labour's New Deal for the young unemployed as good news for Bolton.
Yesterday 12 pilot schemes were started across the country offering jobs and training to young people who have been out of work for six months. And in Spring the New Deal will be extended countrywide.
"From April in Bolton every young man or woman under 25 who is unemployed for six months or more will be offered the New Deal options of work or training," said Ms Kelly.
"With the launch of the New Deal for the young unemployed, the promise which I made at the election - that Labour would give new hope to the unemployed - is being delivered."
