JAMIE Pollock takes centre stage at Elland Road tomorrow knowing he has secured his future as a Wanderer.

Colin Todd has told the combative midfielder he has no intention of selling him - scrapping the agreement they reluctantly drew up together two months ago.

"Jamie's future is with Bolton Wanderers," the Reebok boss confirmed today.

"I've had a chat with him and we're both happy with the situation. It's there for everyone to see. He's doing remarkably well in that wide right position, where he had said he was uncomfortable.

"He's been very effective for the team, which is the important thing."

Pollock, snapped up for a bargain £1 million from Osasuna just over a year ago, was made available in October after a heart-to-heart with the manager.

He said at the time he wasn't happy playing in a wide midfield role and it was agreed that, if a suitable offer came in, he would be allowed to move on. Manchester City and West Brom were interested but the move turned out to be a watershed in the 23-year-old's career.

"He was never transfer-listed," Todd explained. "I just told Jamie that, if an opportunity presented itself where I could help him, I would consider it. But that arrangement is off now.

"He's responded magnificently and his future is here."

Pollock, whose first Premiership goal of the season earned Wanderers a fighting point in Sunday's Derby thriller, switches to centre midfield at Leeds as Alan Thompson starts a three-match suspension. Michael Johansen is expected to take over on the right.

Peter Beardsley will continue alongside Nathan Blake in the continued absence of Dean Holdsworth, who missed the Derby game through injury and is now sidelined by a two-match ban.

Mike Whitlow is available to return at left back against his former club after recovering from a virus but Todd will make fitness checks on Gudni Bergsson and Mark Fish before finalising his back line.

Bergsson injured his ankle late in the Derby game and Neil Cox is on standby to step in. Fish returned from international duty with South Africa yesterday but he may need a rest after his hectic playing and travelling schedule.

Gavin Ward is expected to continue in goal with Keith Branagan struggling to recover from the groin injury that kept him out last weekend.
