SIR: I agree with Mrs Booth's complaint of head lice in schools.
My friend's daughter goes to a school in Little Lever. She has had head lice seven times, and seven times her mother has cleared her head. But as soon as she goes back to school she has them again.
They should give the children's parents letters telling them not to send their child to school until their head is completely clean.
As for Dr Aston, I think he is wrong to say keeping a child off school is over-reacting because of head lice. How else does he expect to get rid of them?
I think it is disgusting that it has been allowed to go on for so long.
It is about time it was sorted out.
I know there are a lot of fed-up people in Bolton because of this epidemic.
Disgusted parent.
