FIREFIGHTERS were again called out again today to a business that went up in flames at the beginning of the week.
As reported in Monday's BEN, police are investigating a spectacular blaze which tore through Interservices (UK) on Walkden's Linnyshaw Industrial Estate.
The unit, in which aerosols and lubricants were stored, was destroyed.
Edward Simpson, a committed Christian of Walkden Road, Worsley, ran the firm with his four sons.
He revealed that he was not insured because he believed the Lord would provide.
Initial estimates suggest that on top of the loss of the building, more than £50,000 worth of stock was destroyed.
Firefighters spent an hour this morning dealing with smouldering sawdust underground.
Police said the fire earlier this week was a "determined" effort to destroy the family run business. house to house inquiries have been carried out.
