PHILIP Mason looks set to become the youngest minister to head the Bolton Methodist mission.
Mr Mason, aged 33, is expected to be appointed at the annual Methodist conference in Scarborough in June.
He will become Superintendent Minister of the Bolton Methodist Mission at the Victoria Hall.
His position as a minister in Westhoughton will be taken by the Rev Gerald Broadbent, currently at Sale, Manchester.
Mr Mason has also been appointed chaplain to the Bypass young persons project in Newport Street.
