SIR: I write to agree with Bill Collinson, (BEN November 25), when he wrote about the junction of Longcauseway and Market Street, Farnworth, being a disgrace, and D E Tattersall when he also stated that yet another entry into Farnworth, the old Fire Station on Albert Road, is also in a disgusting state.
I remember Noel Spencer trying to form a town council in Farnworth, but since then he has managed to become a councillor for the town. After getting elected, has his enthusiasm for Farnworth waned?
The Labour voters of Farnworth loyally give their support to Labour Councillors, to represent them, but for over 60 years they have been betrayed.
Farnworth is a typical socialist town. Run down, dilapidated with lack of representation, allowing the town to suffer while Bolton prospers.
