BRITISH Regional Airlines have announced a senior management appointment.

Mr Rob Hearn, who is currently British Airways General Manager (North of England), has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.

He will take up his new position on April 1 next year, reporting directly to managing director Terry Liddiard.

He will be based in the Isle of Man and will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day operation of British Regional Airlines.

Before taking up his new job he will continue working for British Airways at Manchester, co-ordinating the opening of the new £68 million British Airways Terminal 1, which is due to open in the Spring.
