SIR: The response of Cllr Ronson (Lib-Dem) to the highlighting of the dangerous one-way system imposed on Horwich by her senior political partners, the ruling Labour group, and also her response to worries of Horwich town centre traders to the Middlebrook trading estate. have left me with the belief that she has become removed from the realities of daily life that the electorate lead, and, also, that she has become somewhat arrogant in dealing with critical opinions that are contrary to her own.

The evidence, in my belief, is that when Horwich traders complained about retail outlets on the Middlebrook estate flouting planning requirements, Cllr Ronson described them as "whining" and that they should become "speciality traders". And, secondly, when Horwich Conservatives point out the absurd one-system's dangers to pedestrians, we are told by Cllr Ronson that we should just 'get used to it' despite the chaos that has ensued ever since the traffic lights on the Winter Hey Lane and Lee Lane Junction appeared and was made even worse by the one-way system, both supported by Cllr Ronson. Never mind, I'm sure her apparent arrogance will be paid back by Horwich's electorate, who, I'm sure, are sick and tired of being treated with disdain by Bolton Labour and Lib-Dem councillors.
