THE new Boots store which is opening at the Woodfields Retail Park on Saturday, October 25 has brought 65 new jobs to Bury.
Store manager Angela Paterson said: "The response was overwhelming.
"We received more than 1,000 applications for the 65 jobs.
"The standard was very high and I am confident we now have a fantastic team."
Each new member of staff will receive intensive training which includes customer service, merchandising, healthcare, cosmetics, beauty, photographic and systems.
The new store will trade seven days a week.
