TWO Bolton MPs campaigning hard to outlaw hunting with dogs say they believe the vast majority of their constituents are backing them.

The two men, Dr Brian Iddon of Bolton South East and David Crausby of Bolton North East, added their support to MP Michael Foster's Private Member's Bill when a campaign bus visited the Labour conference in Brighton.

There will be a free vote at the Bill's first reading on November 28.

More than 180 Labour MPs signed posters on a "wall of support" at the conference, including 17 ministers.

Mr Crausby said he believes he is reflecting the will of the people with his oppostion.

"I am snowed under with letters from constituents against hunting," he said. "I have always thought that hunting was barbaric. I'm very pleased that Michael Foster has got an opportunity to do something about it."
