AN old chapel is being given a new lease of life as part of a £550,000 housing scheme.
The Old Baptist Chapel, in the heart of the Ramsbottom Conservation Area, is being developed by the Manchester Methodist Housing Association.
The scheme will provide 12 one-bedroom flats for single elderly people within the 1860's built chapel.
The scheme is being funded by the Matthew Haygarth Memorial Trust Fund and the Bury Unitarian Church and is supported by Bury Council and English Heritage.
For details about the housing project contact Lynne Anderson at the Manchester Methodist Housing Association on 0161 925 0620.
