GROOM Grahame Newton had a HUGE surprise waiting on the steps of the church.
No sooner had the lorry driver exchanged his vows than his 10 ton wedding vehicle arrived to whisk him and bride, Angela Jones off to their reception at the Pack Horse Hotel, Bolton,.
The articulated truck, complete with decorations, was part of a surprise devised between Angela and Grahame's bosses at Alan Hindle Transport from Westhoughton.
The couple were married at St Paul's Peel CE Church in Little Hulton.
Angela said: "I thought getting the articulated lorry to meet us would give Grahame a big surprise. People stare at a wedding Rolls Royce, so they are not going to forget this in a hurry.
"Even the Pack Horse had to be told, so ample space could be left outside the doors."
Angela was given away by her 19-year-old soldier son, Stuart, who flew in for the wedding from Cyprus.
