THE recycling lobby has announced the appointment of their latest recruit ... a 14-year-old boy from Kearsley.
Matthew Jones, of Hawthorne Road, has joined a national team of junior representatives for the Steel Can Recycling Information Bureau (SCRIB).
Matthew's mission is to spread the word about recycling.
A spokesman at SCRIB said that Matthew's efforts would help to convert some of the 13 billions steel cans used in the UK every year into reusable ones. Stacked on top of each other, these 100pc recyclable cans, would reach to the moon three times.
