A TOWN hall council chamber which has not been used for 24 years re-opens for business again today.
Farnworth council chamber was last used in 1974 before local government re-organisation.
But Bolton councillors are back there again today for a meeting of the housing renewal sub committee.
Council chiefs are holding meetings away from Bolton town hall in an effort to attract members of the public.
Chairman, Cllr Noel Spencer explained it was a small part of making "democracy more local."
