RADCLIFFE Boro could certainly do with a win to pull clear of early season danger at the bottom of the Unibond Premier Division. The Boro have picked up just six points from seven games and have only one win to their credit. Manager Kevin Glendon isn't particularly worried however. "I've been absolutely delighted with the way we have been playing," he says. "I keep saying to everyone if we were being given the runaround by opposing sides then I'd be worried but we haven't. In fact, it's quite the reverse, we have been dominating sides but not taking our chances and have conceded a few silly goals. Our general play though has been very encouraging because we've been playing some good stuff."

Glendon takes his side to second in the table Barrow tonight and while it is certainly a daunting away trip, the one win that Boro have notched up was achieved last week away at another top side. Marine. Midfielder Mick Farrelly misses the trip with a knee injury, as does Jason Ashley who is working. Into the side comes Danny Donachie for only his second start of the season. Former Ramsbottom United striker Russell Brierley faces a late fitness test on a leg injury. ATHERTON Colls face a tough away trip to Chadderton hoping that former striker Alan Shawcross will be able to take his place in the starting line up but highly rated goalkeeper Paul Blenkinship returns from holiday in time for the game. Scott Derbyshire and Dave Berry are still missing through injury. ATHERTON LR entertain struggling Barrow side Holker Old boys tonight and choose from the same squad that earned a 3-1 win at Darwen on Saturday.
