SIR: Casually browsing through a large town centre shop, I noticed a large display of BWFC videos. Eagerly seeking the traditional end of season goals compilation. I found a bundle of seven or eight videos, each carrying highlights of about six games from last season, thus covering every game played. The price? £49.99.
This has to be a cunning ploy by the large company involved to capitalise on Wanderers' promotion. I thought. I was wrong. As I was informed at the official BWFC shop in the town centre, fifty-pounds is the price for this season's goals compilation.
How can any club charge this price for a season's review (albeit spread over a number of relatively short videos)? The old Roadrunner videos were expensive at £20 each, but £50? It seems even more ridiculous when the going rate for top Premiership clubs' videos - about £14 - is considered.
