THE booming markets in central and eastern Europe will be under the spotlight at the next meeting of the Bolton Bury Export Club.

Secrets of success will be imparted at the event on June 25 through workshops conducted by Department of Trade and Industry export promoters.

The Czech and Slovak Republics will be covered by John Woodcock, who helped to make Kodak a market leader in Eastern Europe.

Godfrey Linnett, who established trading links in central and eastern Europe for international drinks firm Allied Domecq, will look at opportunities in Hungary and Slovenia.

Polish expert Danusia Bizon worked with agencies in the same area and now runs her own business promoting trade between UK and overseas firms.

The Export Club will also have practical advice from two freight-forwarding specialists, C R Forwarding and W T A Airfreight.

Taking notes will be 10 business students from Bury College with tutor Tim Robson and head of work-based faculty Cath Hurst.

The Bolton Bury Export Club is sponsored by Bolton Bury Training and Enterprise Council, whose directors have been invited to the meeting.
