SIR: On Wednesday May 28, at 8pm, I switched on Radio Bolton for the advertised Keep It Country programme. Unfortunately the programmer or music selector for the programme had decided to alter the music. The resultant programme was a strange mix of Irish recorded and live, pop, ballad, and a bit of country.
Can I point out to the programmer of Radio Bolton if a programme is advertised as jazz or rock that is exactly what the listener expects to hear. If Radio Bolton wants to attract country music fans to the Keep It Country programme don't invite us on a musical mystery tour of Irish centres. Keep it country.
Remember there are other radio stations.
