A TEENAGER who was seriously injured in a road smash which killed his friend has left hospital.
Paul Eckersley is back at home with his family after being discharged from North Manchester General Hospital, where he had been in intensive care.
17-year-old Paul, from Whins Lane, Wheelton, was driving the Ford Escort in which computer engineer Matthew Gibbons, 16, was fatally injured in the accident on the A674 Wheelton bypass on March 22.
