LEIGH RMI have had a disappointing week but they have an early chance to put things right when they entertain Worksop Town at Hilton Park tomorrow.

They dropped out of the top three for the first time in months after the midweek 2-1 defeat by Farsley, which saw the Yorkshireman leapfrog over the Railwaymen.

Manager Steve Waywell, who missed the game with a back injury, is hoping to be back in charge, but he has further problems with injuries to key players.

''Steve Shaughnessy missed the game and Chris Shaw took a knock so we will have to wait for late fitness tests, although Matty Weston should be available to come in at right back,'' said Waywell.

The inclusion of Weston could mean the shelving of Waywell's tactic of playing three central defenders and a return to a flat back four which performed so well for him earlier in the campaign.

''We have started feeling sorry for ourselves lately but we need to be more positive and if that means getting back to things that we do best, so be it.'' Waywell has seen his side win only twice in the last 12 matches and they have picked up only five points out of a possible 21 so he needs to get his promotion-hopefuls back on track before their games in hand run out, but it won't be easy against a Worksop side who themselves are on the fringe of the promotion battle and are a difficult side to break down.
