THE Halifax building society has appointed a new manager for Bolton and District.
Mr John Burnyeat, whose area also includes Farnworth and Walkden, is based in Knowsley Street, Bolton.
Whitehaven-born Mr Burnyeat, aged 49, has been with the Halifax for 28 years and has also worked for them in Sheffield, Corby, Halifax, Barrow in Furness, Accrington and Rochdale.
He succeeds Mr Cliff Hughes, who has swapped places with him and taken over as manager at Rochdale.
