LEIGH RMI manager Steve Waywell will delay naming his side for tonight's FA Cup preliminary replay against Belper Town to allow injured striker Keith Evans time to recover.
Evans was carried off with a shin injury after only half a hour at Belper in Saturday's 1-1 draw and faces a late fitness test. It will be a blow for RMI if Evans doesn't play, but Waywell would then stick with Chris Bermingham who finished the game in Derbyshire.
"Keith is such a valuable player for us," said Waywell. "He has instant control that allows other players to support and he has also been knocking in the goals as well.
"We will leave it as late as possible but we have an able deputy in Chris Bermingham."
The RMI boss could also make a switch at full back with Matty Weston impressing when he replaced Paul Wheeler at Belper.
"Their wide men caused us problems and we must learn from that," said Waywell. "It will be tough again but we must finish off the good work we started on Saturday."
Waywell will add Neil Matthews, Graham Leishman and Mick Charlton to his Saturday's 15.
Squad: Felgate, Weston, Wallace, Hill, Schofield, Booth, Edwards, Ridings, Shaw, Evans, McKenna, Bermingham, Wheeler, Walmesley, Allison, Leishman, Matthews and Charlton.
