PROUD mum Gaynor Christey reckons her son Lewis is head and shoulders above the rest.
The plucky two-year-old from Farnworth completed a charity walk just two months after undergoing open heart surgery.
Lewis raised £300 for Alder Hey Hospital's Cardiac Unit where he was treated in June for a hole in the heart.
Gaynor said the sponsored walk around Great Lever Park was organised as "a big thank-you" to the staff at the Merseyside hospital.
She said: "They were all absolutely brilliant.
"As a result of his condition, Lewis suffered a lot from colds and chest infections and had a poor appetite. But we could see the difference the day after the operation and he eats like a horse now."
