Get up each morning
What do you find?
An unwanted present
Has been left behind.
Dogs with their masters
Out for a walk.
Fouling on pavements
Which others must walk. Anyone's garden
But not on their own.
It's really annoying
When a dog you don't own.
A natural function
The dog's got to go.
Responsible owners
Would clean it up though.
Their toilet attendant
I don't want to be. It's up to their owners
To clean up, not me.
Dogs don't go walkies
These days on their own.
Some but not many
Take bags, clean their own.
My thanks to those owners
Who clean up the mess.
Let's hope by example
You'll teach all the rest. Linda Forshaw, Hawkshead Drive, Deane
