REGULARS from the Skenners pub in Elliot Street, Tyldesley were in fine voice for their 36 hour karaoke marathon at the weekend which raised almost £2,000 for Atherton Fire Service and Wigan Hospice.
Other fund raising activities included singing and dancing in the street, a tombola stall, a bouncy castle and dry hair cuts by Sarah Alexandra of Tyldesley.
The singers kept their spirits up with renditions of We Are the Champions and ended the marathon event with We Wanna Get Out Of This Place.
Bernadette Beaumont, licensee of the Skenners, said she was astounded by the response from local people.
"I was amazed at the way the regular customers pulled together creating a super team effort. The bar staff also pulled together to create a brilliant atmosphere."
