SIR: On watching the brass band in Moss Bank Park on Sunday my husband and I were disgusted that a canopy and coned area was not allocated to them. The band was excellent as are others on other occasions.

The heat was intense and I don't know how they managed to play, and it was so crowded that it was a miracle their music carriers were not trodden on. Children with ice creams were almost on the drummer's back, also cyclists rode so close.

We have watched these bands, also when it has rained and they have had no cover. They are such a delight. So come on get a proper band stand or an area where they can play without harassment.
