LOCALLY based Longden Northwest has received a Civic Award for excellence for its development at Bradshaw Hall.
The award was presented to the developers yesterday by the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Eric Johnson, who later unveiled a commemorative plaque at the estate.
The Civic Trust aims to promote quality and excellence in environmental design and its awards are intended to stimulate interest in the appearance of our cities, towns, villages and countryside.
Over the past 30 years the Civic Trust awards have sought to recognise and celebrate the best contributions being made to environmental quality. In doing so, they seek to stimulate better standards and to create a greater awareness of the importance of environmental design.
The awards recognise both excellence of architecture and design and the way in which buildings relate to their setting, to other buildings and to the spaces in between.
