SIR: I would like to draw your attention to the forthcoming British Heart Foundation's sponsored walks to be held over the weekend of September 21/22.
The walks which range from gentle strolls of under five miles, to more demanding 25 mile routes will appeal to people of all ages and abilities. Families are particularly welcome to join the fun day. The walks will take place through Britain's wonderful countryside - along some of our superb coastlines, beside beautiful canals and through the grounds of castles, stately homes and ancient Oxford colleges.
We should all try to exercise as often as possible and walking is a great way to get fit - it helps keep your heart strong, reduces your risk of heart attacks of strokes and tones up muscles. Readers are invited to join the fun and at the same time help the British Heart Foundation find out more about the link between high blood pressure and heart disease.
If any of your readers would like to find out more about the walks and how to help in the fight against heart disease - they should FreeCall 0500 300 445.
