SIR: As I retire as the President of Bolton Lions Club, may I thank through your columns, the sincere generosity of the public in Bolton and surrounding areas for all their help in making my year as President one to remember.
My main project of the year was to raise money to provide a powered wheelchair for Bolton Shopmobility. This was achieved and it will be a lasting memory to me, when I see this wheelchair in Bolton town centre helping a disabled person get around our wonderful town.
May I finish with thanking yourselves at the Bolton Evening News and Crompton Place for your great support.
