VANDALS are putting lives in danger by breaking into a block of flats at Little Hulton and setting fire to gas pipes.
Farnworth firemen have been called out to two incidents recently at the flats at Kenyon Way where gas pipe lines have been unscrewed and set on fire.
The latest incident happened early on Sunday when firemen were called to an empty flat.
Station officer Robert Coote warned: "The stupidity of their actions is not only a danger to themselves but this could be putting other people at risk."
He said British Gas were informed following the first incident and men have been working to isolate the supply.
