SIR: I discovered by accident that there was a 125 bus service from Bolton to Rivington on Sundays via Chorley Old Road. The existence of this service does not seem to be widely known and not used very much, which is strange when it can get people from Bolton to the heart of Rivington in just over half an hour.
I remarked to the driver that passengers were few. He replied: "That's good". Do the operators share this view, or not wish to advertise, or give the route its own number?
However, there were some leaflets available giving times of buses from there to Leigh and Bolton.
But the services to get there are not mentioned.
