WE have every sympathy with Nottingham County Council, who have to deal with the educational needs of the three Wilding brothers whose disruptive behaviour has caused havoc in local schools.
They would do well to emulate Bolton's education authority who are setting up three pioneering school-based centres, the so-called "sin bins", to deal with disruptive youngsters.
As we have said previously, expelling disruptive pupils does not solve the problem, but pushes it onto another school. However badly behaved they may be, rebellious pupils have to be educated somewhere.
Halfway-house centres where pupils may be given specialised support without disrupting other youngsters seem to be the solution.
