CHORLEY Sunday League Premier Division Horwich St Marys were caught cold against Second Division Duke of York in the first semi-final of the Mitre Trophy.

Duke raced into a two-goal lead through Griffiths and Curwen before Cowburn pulled one back before half-time.

Second half goals by Lilley and Mills (pen) put Saints on top but Griffiths scored his second with a great far post header to take the game into extra time.

Duke were caught out in the last minute Saints caught them on the break, Cowburn rolling the ball to Lilley who stroked it into an empty net. PREMIER Division: Market Tavern 0 Clayton 4; Leo's 1 Spinners 4.
