SIR: David Young is absolutely correct in his observations regarding nursery education for three-year-olds.
The voucher system is bound to affect the council-run nurseries, leading to widespread redundancy of nursery staff.
What is going to happen to the three year olds already receiving state nursery education? Do all parents realise state nurseries will only be available for four-year-old children with nursery vouchers being issued from April 1997?
