SIR: For some time now we have been informed about the Gulf War syndrome and other disabilities linked to our men and women who have served in action.
While I applaud these people, past and present, let us not forget those that have served in action closer to home.
I myself have seen what bullets and bombs can do; I have seen people scream at our soldiers and ask why?
Many times the questions have been asked, but they never doubted their actions.
These men and women abroad and at home, did what they were asked, and served.
Those people should now be given peace of mind and not be investigated like some witch-hunt.
They gave, and now they need!
Ex-soldier,
