LEIGH RMI bring the curtain down at Hilton Park with their last home game of the season against Radcliffe Boro.

And after a dreadful start to the season that saw them win just twice, in their first 15 games, they have now attained mid table respectability.

Manager Steve Waywell says: "We have been far too inconsistent although we would have settled for where we are now back in November.

Waywell has more imminent problems with injuries making team selection a nightmare.

Out for the season are Jamie Fahey, Mark Schofield, Tony Edwards and Chris Shaw with doubts over several more. Peter Smyth is definitely back and there could be a debut for 19 year old midfield player Phil Clough.

In contrastRadcliffe Boro have a full first team squad and are unbeaten in five games. Manager Kevin says: "I stressed to the lads that we really needed to finish strong to repay the good support that we have had this season. Since then we have won four and drew at Ashton United on Monday when I was delighted with our performance." Defender Loz Greenhalgh returns after missing the midweek game with a hamstring. Atherton LR go to Workington for their final game. Rovers moved into seventh slot in the division 1 table after the 3-3 midweek draw at Farsley Celtic and a win tomorrow could confirm a top eight finishing position that qualifies the club for entry into next season's President's Cup.

Manager Dave Morris will be hoping that central defender Lee Sculpher, given a run-out in the Wednesday game after a knee injury, will be fit to play.

Atherton Colls clinched the second division runners up slot with the 3-0 home victory over Daisy Hill and will be looking to celebrate promotion in grand style tomorrow with a good home showing against Cheadle Town. Colls have an injury worry over central defender Wayne Roberts and midfielder Paul Cox could be on Unibond duty with Hyde United but otherwise have a full squad to select from. Ramsbottom United, jubilant after Thursday's magnificent division 2 cup final triumph over Cheadle Town will be looking to avenge last weekend's 4-0 thrashing at Tetley Walker tomorrow when the Warrington side visit the Riverside Stadium for the reverse league fixture.

Little Hulton United could make sure of the Manchester League Premier Division title tomorrow in the home game against Prestwich Heys. United need just two points from the remaining two league games to be crowned as champions but the visitors will be all out to delay those title celebrations as they need the points to avoid relegation. Another 200-plus crowd is expected at Hurst Close to cheer United on.
